Financial Statements – The Basic Requirements 27 Interim Statements • Generally same coverage as annuals but statements of changes to equity may be provided in notes to financials and note disclosure may be more limited • May be in condensed form so long as they contain the main line items from the latest audited financials • Include comparative interim statements for the same period in the prior financial year, except that the requirement for comparative balance sheet information may be met by presenting the year-end balance sheet • Which periods must the interim statements cover? • Balance sheet, income statement, cash flows and changes to equity as of the end of the most recent three, six or nine month period following the most recent audited balance sheet
